They have a considerable number of choices and they all look scrumptious!! The store is well kept, friendly service and certainly reasonable prices. What more to ask for? I'm bound to stop when I pass by the store!
This family-owned place has been around for as long as I can remember. We always get a warm greeting and they are so kind. They have great selection of donuts. We always end up with their dozen (14) and sometimes they will throw in complimentary donut holes. The donuts are super soft, fresh and delicious.
Always my go-to when I'm in National City. Their donuts are consistent taste wise, softness wise- displays are always full- customer service is always welcoming!
This place is a staple in National City. I have been coming here for over 10 years, the donuts are consistently delicious! Way better than yum yums or winchells. The ice cream they offer is a nice touch too. The service is always kind and professional, I hope they stay open forever.
My partner and I went in around a quarter after 8AM on a Saturday. There was a small line, and it was out the door, but we did not wait long. Firstly, I just want to say the the service was great. The ladies behind the counter were very attentive and really friendly. Absolutely all smiles. The seating area was decently sized and you can fit in a few people if you just want to stay inside and have your breakfast. We opted for the croissant sandwiches, number 3 to be exact. We weren't expecting them to be huge, but be warned, they are! You can easily split half if you aren't keen on a big sandwich. It was delicious and well worth it. I think we will try the same one next time, but with bacon. We also got a delicious Vietnamese coffee and it was sweet and strong! If you aren't used to it, just a heads up. We did purchase half a dozen donuts prior to this day, and it was all delicious. They even threw in a few extra donut holes! Definitely will have to try the other variety of donuts they have. Quite a selection including massive donuts! This was honestly a great place and we'll be purchasing donuts from here all the time!
Late post... I got donuts last week during the rain since I was in the area. This is my second time here and the service is always welcoming and friendly. My wife and I got a small assortment of donuts and shared with family. The donuts were fresh and very tasty. Will definitely return since they're located about 5 min down the road.
Visited family in town and was south for an errand, when I decided to want some donuts on a Sunday around 1pm. Googled some spots and decided to try this place, as it looked like a traditional, family owned store. Upon entering, the entire display case was filled with what looked like fresh, delicious, fluffy donuts. The girl helping me (I think her name was Nahi, hopefully I spelled it right) was super friendly and helpful with a smile :) Got half a dozen to take home, but ate 2.5 donuts right there because they were fresh and delicious. Pricing is great for the quality of donuts and there is plenty of seating space to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or breakfast sandwich with it. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area!
Best experience in California!! The donuts are tops, great fresh, delicious!! Chocolate was chocolatey, the little extra donut holes were pillowy taste clouds. The difference came when i asked for my yeti to get filled, i was just in town i grabbed my cup from the trip in the night before. She took my cup looked in at yesterday's coffee and shook her head, NO! I clean it! She cleaned my cup and filled it, i graciously thanked her for taking care of me. It just feels great to feel cared for!! Tremendous!! So many thanks!!! Over the top! Extra mile service!!
Over a decade since my first donut here and they still offer their famous "a dozen is 14" deal. The service is still friendly and kind. Even at 6pm the donut selection is good and FRESHLY made.
Today we experienced Plaza Donuts fir the first time and love this. The ladies working are so nice and friendly, I think we would come back just for them. Their donut cases at the counter are fully stocked with beautiful donuts and croissants. We ordered a ham, egg and cheese on croissant and a ham bacon egg and cheese on croissant. These sandwiches are huge so we ate half and we are saving the other halves for tomorrow. We were so excited that we forgot to take a photo of the sandwiches before we started eating. Very good sandwiches. We ordered a half dozen donuts and these are fresh and delicious. The dining area has room for 16 people to sit. This is an excellent donut restaurant to visit and is now a staple for us on our visits to San Diego.
